Community Management Services

Creating and managing a community is one of the most beneficial things you can do for your business. It is a great way to get to know your customers and their needs. Community participation also helps your members get to know you on a personal level, learn about your philosophy, find out about your products, ask questions, and much more. In essence, a community provides a place for you to bond with your readers and build trust.
Although adding a community is very beneficial, it requires careful planning in the pre-launch stage. This includes deciding on software options, choosing topics, and selecting types of member access. Once the community is launched, the focus shifts to adding information, getting members to participate, and deleting the dreaded spam.
Maintaining an active community also requires daily attention from you. This may create a drain on your time and energy, if you are trying to do it alone. The key to maximizing your efforts is to drop into your community a couple of times a day to reply to your readers but leave the community management to someone else. That’s where I can help.
Long before I began my career as a virtual assistant, I helped businesses (profit and non-profit) manage their online communities. In my early days, I was a chat host for one of the busiest About.com sections. Later I became a community administrator for a non-profit organization, where I have worked for the past 6+ years.
Since becoming a virtual assistant, I have worked with many types of communities and a variety of community management applications. I specialize in working with phpbb and IPB software. Although I do not offer software or mod installation services, I do offer management services. Depending on the application, these services may include the following:
- Adding main categories
- Adding forums (sub categories)
- Approving members
- Deleting Spam
- Creating special access groups
- Moderating forums
- Managing forum staff
- and more
A community environment offers many benefits to your business. Managing it by yourself can also be quite time consuming and take your focus away from creating profitable products.
