5 Tips To Make Pay-Per-Post Pay Off

Have you considered getting a few people to add new topics and replies to your blog or message board? Have you taken a pay-per-post job? Pay-per-post can be a great way to outsource one of your business’ tasks. It’s also a great way for people to earn a bit of money. Here are 5 tips to make pay-per-post pay off.

  1. Learn to blend in with members. When members see a pay-per-post, they should not realize that has been “paid for.” The language you use should match that of other respected members. It should appear that every poster is an interested member.
  2. Make a few posts every day or every other day. It is a dead giveaway to members, with any business knowledge, that something is a pay-per-post if the poster comes in and makes 20 or 45 posts at one time. When many posts are made at one time, they may have a “spam” feel to members. See tip #1.
  3. Only respond to posts less than 30 days old. If you are following tips #1 and #2, there should be no need to reply to something that is 30 days old. (My personal cut-off date is 15 days.) After you have replied once or twice, leave the rest for members who are new or who do not visit the site often. They are sure to dig out the older stuff and respond.
  4. Add more than a sentence or two in a reply. When a “full” reply or new post is made, it seems as if the poster is an interested member. Remember that even when you are being paid to post, you are also building up your reputation!
  5. 60-75% of your posts should be new topics. One of the goals is to make sure members feel like they have been heard. This is usually done through replies. However, the other main goal is to encourage others to respond to new relevant topics. In general, members are more likely to respond to a topic than they are to start a new topic.

If you are being paid to post, please check with the person who hired you before implementing any of these tips. You are ultimately responsible for making posts in the manner they suggest. In a case where you have not been given specific instructions, these tips may bring attention to your posts and earn you a long term job.

When you consider hiring pay-per-post people, keep these things in mind when you give the posters instructions. Use the tips which fit your needs and goals. When your posters understand the ultimate goal, you are more likely to get the quality posts you want.

Outsourcing the posting of new topics and replies can be a great way to jump start or maintain your message board or blog. Whether you want to hire people for a posting project or have been hired to post, pay-per-post can get you the results you want. Keep in mind these 5 tips to make pay-per-post pay off for you.
